Bike Shops

Even though this manual is teaching you how to fix your bike, there are going to be times when you'll need help from an expert. Check out the resources below for bike shops in Pittsburgh.

  • The Pitt Bike Cave: A great resource for Pitt students to go and have their bikes fixed for free in a DIY environment. The bike cave also have bikes available for purchase.
  • REI: Another bike shop that's located in Southside is REI Outdoors. REI carries a variety of equipment for outdoor activities, a lot of equipment for cyclists, and also has a bike shop so that you can get your bike repaired by a professional.
  • Trek Bicycle: Trek is a bicycle manufactured and distributor. The store sells a large variety of bikes and has a bike shop for repairs to be made.

Fix it Stations

This manual outlines the repair process for fixing different problems with your bike. However, if you don't have the tools, there are a variety of Fix-it stations around the city of Pittsburgh that have basic tools to fix your bike.
